Solvil et Titus: Time is Love

Written by Min Fung, Chang and Dreamer

In the middle of a busy city, situated a cool but old-school thrift shop. This shop, which was filled with a variety of stuffs (each with its own tale), had turned into the setting for a friendship that has blossomed over over shared moments, losses, and memories.

The Beginning

A beautiful girl, still smarting from a recent breakup, met the shop owner, a good-looking man of few words, outside the shop. Her eyes, heavy with the burden of her past, were there to sell her ex-partner’s items. This was her way of letting go of the relationship and moving forward in life.

The shop owner greeted her with a straightforward proposition, “Bring it to me for a quote. Then you can decide whether to sell or not”.

Shared Interests, Shared Moments

Gradually, she began visiting the shop more frequently, each time bringing with her a box full of vinyl records and comics, which the shop owner had a fondness for.

Miscellaneous Items

As time passed, she started bringing larger items. A bike and a basketball were among the first, signaling that she was done with cycling and no longer played basketball. But she didn’t stop there. Even mattresses found their way into the shop. From small trinkets to large pieces of furniture, she slowly brought pieces of her old life to this shop. The shop owner, amused by the variety of items, affectionately started calling her ‘Ms. Celaneous’.

Time, Time, and More Time

One day, Ms. Celaneous walked into the shop with a plant, a living memento of a past relationship. “It’s been 3 years. It’s still alive,” she commented. The shop owner, who had known her for 2 years, offered to care for the plant. Time seemed to have its own pace within the warm confines of this shop.

Sometime later, the shop owner was delighted to see Ms. Celaneous again. He thought she must have sold all her miscellaneous items by now. But to his surprise, she brought in a tortoise and asked if he could help take care of it and dispose of some old love letters.

As time went on, their relationship evolved. What began as mere business transactions turned into moments of connection, fostering a blossoming friendship between Ms. Celaneous and the shop owner. Each visit, conversation, laughter and even silence added a new layer to their growing bond.

The Watch: A Symbol of Time and Love

Among the many items Ms Celaneous brought to the shop, there was one that stood out – a Solvil et Titus watch. This watch, still bound to her wrist, was a constant reminder of her past love. The shop owner, who usually did not take watches, offered to take this one for himself.

“Why is your past love still bound to your wrist?” he asked. But he understood. He told her, “When you are ready to sell that watch, I will be here.”

In the end, it’s not just about selling items or letting go of the past. It’s about time, healing, and the love that grows in the most unexpected places. Time, as embodied by the Solvil et Titus watch, becomes a symbol of their shared journey – a testament to the adage, “Time is Love.”

So, why not make every moment count? A Solvil et Titus watch is more than just a timepiece. It’s a symbol of love, a testament to the healing power of time. After all, time is the greatest gift of love one can offer to oneself and others.
